LONDON -- Livebookings today releases its latest figures, demonstrating an increasing demand for innovative online reservation and marketing solutions as the restaurant sector accelerates its adoption of online booking technology and social media marketing.
In what many commentators have described as the toughest trading conditions in years, the number of restaurants using Livebookings exceeded 9,000 in the quarter ending June 11, 2011, with the number of diners delivered in the quarter hitting a record 2.6 million - up 100% on the same period a year ago, and up 12% sequentially from Q1 2011.
In addition, mobile bookings growth has accelerated since the beginning of the year and now represents 8% of total reservations, demonstrating the rapid changes in the way consumers are choosing to interact with restaurants when researching and booking.
The company delivers an average of 55% more diners to restaurants than a year ago and continues to win market share in Europe, with approximately 40% more restaurants using its services than its nearest competitor.
