Livebookings, the European leader in online marketing services for restaurants, revealed a record 705 new restaurants were signed up in the first quarter, continuing a rapid adoption of its market leading cloud-based booking solutions.
In the UK Livebookings welcomed new group Fullers and international hospitality group Whitbread, while in Germany Zum Franziskaner, the famous Brauhaus and Wiesenwirt at the Octoberfest, and previously OpenTable’s biggest German booking restaurant will join the European leaders this month.
Colin Tenwick, CEO, Livebookings said: “We have seen strong growth in Q1 2012 across the whole Livebookings product portfolio and in all geographies. The launch of the new Livebookings Professional service provides restaurants with the ability to operate in a ‘live’ booking environment right up to and throughout service. As the impact of marketing to consumers’ mobiles increases, so will the restaurants’ ability to fill empty tables at all times of service; in turn increasing profitability.”
Livebookings’ new technology innovation has been instrumental in delivering record numbers of new restaurants to sign up. In the US, Freebookings now supports more than 700 restaurants in 40 of the 50 states.
Further milestones achieved by Livebookings in Q1 2012 include:

- Bookatable, Livebookings’ consumer facing website, topped 1 million visits in a single month for the first time in Q1 of 2012
